Parenting is Heartwork Seminar :: Coming to All Saints this October
This Parenting Seminar, presented by the National Center for Biblical Parenting is COMING TO ALL SAINTS. For all those who parent children ages 2—18, you will learn practical ideas to help you address the hearts of your kids. This seminar is entertaining, encouraging and life-changing! Seminar to be presented on:
5 hour seminar - spread over 2 days
October 24 at 6:45 pm - 8:30 pm AND
October 25 at 8:45 am - 12:00 pm
Cost is $25.00 per couple; $15.00 per individual

Bring the family! Children from 2—12 participate in a separate kids program (childcare for younger children also provided) to learn in fun and exciting ways how they can enhance family life!

Connect with your kids in ways that will change their HEARTS!
Behavior modification has been used by parents for decades. Controlling behavior may work for the short term but it breeds selfishness over time. Kids learn to ask “What’s in it for me?” This seminar will explain what the heart is and then help parents learn how to use that information in the day-to-day challenges of family life. Parents will be offered ways to teach children cooperation instead of resistance when following instructions, help children change unhealthy
attitudes, develop honesty and nurture self-control.
“We know that for many this is a different way to think about parenting,” says Joanne Miller, a pediatric nurse, author and public speaker. “But the retraining has amazing ramifications for family life. Parents and children grow closer together and the work of family life moves forward much easier.”
More About the Children's Program
All Saints is offering simultaneously a complete children’s program for 2 – 12 yr. olds (included in your registration fee) so the kids are learning ways to add to family life at the same time. Note that childcare for those infant - age 2 is also provided in our nursery.
The curriculum for the children’s program is written by Dr. Scott Turansky and Joanne Miller, authors of the book “Parenting is Heart Work.” "Parents love it when their children come home with a new vision for cooperation and helping out,” states Joanne Miller. Dr. Turansky and Joanne Miller are also the co-founders of Effective Parenting.
This seminar welcomes families of our congregation and surrounding community. It’s just one of the programs All Saints Lutheran Church offers to strengthen families. We encourage you to invite all those parents you know to this family-building expereince.
