"One on One" Sunday School
Some children learn best in a smaller consistant class enviroment...some would benefit seeing the same teacher and shepherds every week! Some children are "born leaders" and would love to share their know-how with other children.
This year All Saints will have a dedicated classroom for children who might learn better in a more typical style of learning enviroment, yet interactive and hands-on...too good to be true? No, All Saints has two very dedicated educators (Mary Wennersten and Carol Collins) who devote their gift of teaching to children of All Saints! If you would like to learn more about what this class has to offer your child please contact Rendy Horner. Your child is special, we know that and we hope this class helps them feel that way!
"One on One" is:
During the regular SS hour (9am-10am)
In room 101 (located in the Nursery building)
Follows the same stories as our rotation SS only class curriculm in adapted for the needs of the students
Children enjoy playing, learning and growing in their faith
Children have the same teachers and shepherds all year long so no need to adapt to different teaching styles every week.
>>>Please Register/Re-register<<<
Please take time to complete a Sunday School Regstration form especially if you have moved, updated your phone number or email address and have not made the changes known to the office.
The story of Joseph:
Someone might look at Joseph's life and say..."Wow, what an unlucky guy." Hopefully after a child attends this 3 week rotation they will say..."Wow, Joseph had faith and God stayed with Joseph through his trials." Children learn about Joseph and God's plan for Joseph's life. Don't miss a week see below what your child could learn in three of of the six workshops listed below.
Memory Verse: God is our mighty fortress, always ready to help in times of trouble. And so, we won't be afraid! Psalms 46:1 &2a

God's give us the ability to do GOd's work. The students will use their Bibles to learn about the plagues and Pharaoh's reaction. They will recognize that Moses' faith in God's power gave Moses the confidence to do as God asked. Children hear the story by reading it from the Bible and look up verses about the plagues.
Community Service-Monica Rabb
God is alwasy with us. The students will learn of the faith Moses had in God to guide Moses throught the desert with the Israelites to the Promised Land. The students will travel through the desert and receive water and "manna" as the Israelites. did. They learn this as they hike the desert hill behind All Saints without water or food...then eat crackers and drink water, as they listen to the story.
Art: Kelly Hansen
God calls us to serve. The students will learn that God calls each of us to serve by learning about Moses' call to serve and the burning bush. The children hear the story of the burning bush and make a "God Calls Me" picture frame suing scrap booking techniques.

God's help comes to us through people in our lives. The students will watch a movie and see how God used Moses and Aaron to help free the Israelites from slavery. They will give thatnks and praise for people who bring God's love into their lives.

God goes with us onthe way. The studenst will learn hos God chose Moses and cared for him as a baby. The children make a baby moses out of Fondet.

We can trust God to lead us. Through storytelling and re-enactment of the story, the childrebn will learn that trusting in God is the most important part of any jouney, just as Moses trusted God to get them through the Red Sea. Children partake in the storytelling wtih sound effects and finally "cross the Red Sea" All Saints style.

Mission Statement for Disciples' Workshop Sunday School
Mission of Children's Sunday School at All Saints:
Our mission is to give children the faith stories of the Bible to learn, remember and compare to their own life as they grow. To know the God of today is the same God of Abraham, David, Danial, Ruth, Mary and others of the Bible. To equip children with the Living Word; to know Jesus' love for them and know that Jesus died and rose again so one day they to will live in heaven with our Heavenly Father. To build caring relationships with adults, youth and peers; and to know that they as Christians should share the stories they have learned with others and to invite others to learn the Good News of Jesus Christ.
Classes are taught in "Story Rotations" lasting between 3-6 weeks each. Teaching methods occur through: Art, Bible Discovery, Community Service, Cooking, Games and Theater. Children visit a different workshop each week learning the "same" story only using different senses to discover a different concept about the story they learn.

6th Grade Spirit begins in January each year for 6th graders. Though our Sunday School program for grades 1 through 6 is exceptional...as 6th graders finish elementary school they are ready for a transistion at church too.
6th Grade Spirit is a great way to help kids learn how to live their faith and understand what it means to be a Christian. It is a stepping stone to get ready for the 3 year confirmation program that is a head of them.
6th grade spirit is:
Hanging out and talking with friends and caring adults
Drinking soda and eating snacks first thing in the morning!
Playing Basketball, Wii, PS2, Ping Pong & other fun on campus
Learning practical ways to apply your faith to your life
Going of field trips (bowling, mini-golf, ice skating)
An all day Lock-in complete with homecooked food, team building while having fun!
6th Grade Milestone and pre-orientation for Confirmation
