Building Program Summary for Phases 2 & 3
This is a summary of the expansion, improvements and remodeling conducted in Phases 2 & 3 of the Building program:
Two-Story South Addition: South end of Sanctuary
· Staff offices
· Music Rehearsal space
· Storage & Resource Room Space
· Elevator to worship
· Meeting rooms
· Volunteer work space
This new addition makes our campus much more welcoming to visitors and members. Church staff will be easy to find during the week, and volunteer work and meeting spaces are very accessible. The additional elevator will be just a few steps from handicap parking.
Life Building
Current Staff Offices (at the back of the campus) will be converted to create rooms that will serve our congregation and our community. The Life building will contain a theater, cafe, arts room, prayer room and more classroom space. The rooms can be specially designed and equipped for our unique and interactive Rotational Sunday School program.
Sanctuary Renovation
· Acoustical improvements
· Improved lighting (natural light and fixtures)
· Adaptable, movable furnishings and seating
· More intimate room layout
· Expanded gathering space with print resource displays
Sanctuary improvements are primarily liturgical in nature, and are meant to provide a more supportive environment for the congregation’s worship. More live acoustics will provide much-needed support for congregational singing and sound system enhancements. Flexible furnishings will allow adaptability for the variety of worship needs throughout the year, and will also allow us to host various concert events, enhancing our community outreach. Improved lighting will help us read our bulletins and hymnals! A more intimate room layout, with seating gathered around the altar, will improve visibility and enhance our sense of community.
