Program Note: Registration for Spring 2008 Session is Now Open
A unique Christian education program designed for those who:
- Want to get to know All Saints and learn about our mission, ministries & many programs
- Want to become a member or transfer a membership to All Saints
- Are current members wanting to expand their knowledge in these subjects
This program consists of 8 interactive workshops that include Bible studies, Lutheran history and tradition, worship, prayer, liturgy, sacraments, spiritual gifts and stewardship. Discovery is led by our pastors with involvement from each staff member and was developed by All Saints to meet a unique educational need. Meals and child care are included!
Discovery Mission
The Discovery program exists to provide a meaningful and relevant introduction to All Saints by;

Providing an environment of fellowship

Creating opportunities for connection to the church family and relationship building

Educating participants in the areas of the Bible, Martin Luther, the Lutheran Tradition, stewardship and spiritual gifts.

Discovery also serves as the prerequisite program for becoming a member of All Saints. If you have never been member of an ELCA church or wish to transfer your membership from another ELCA church, all are welcome. This program is designed for you to learn about and participate with the community of All Saints as well as provide meaningful learning experience.
Registration - Quick & Easy
To prepare worshop materials, meal plans and child care needs, participants are asked to register by completing the Online Registration Form below or by calling the church office at 602.866.9191.
Weekly Workshop Schedule
Each week at Discovery we utilize the following schedule of activities:
6:00 - 6:20: Dinner (all ages participate)
6:20 - 6:30: Staff Spotlight - Meet members of the All Saints staff each week
6:30 - 6:45: Weekly Faith Journey's Activites (all ages participate)
6:45 - 7:55: Discovery Workshops 100-300
(younger children can move to the nursery if parents wish)
7:55 - 8:00: Weekly wrap-up and prayers

The Fall Session of Discovery will be held Monday evenings from 6:00 - 8:00 pm following the 8 week schedule below. Discovery is for all ages and includes dinner and childcare:

Discovery 100: Discovering All Saints - 1 Session
Discovery 100* is designed for potential members (current members are welcome too!) who wish to get to know All Saints and what we have to offer prior to participating in the 200 and 300 workshops. During Discovery 100 participants will:

Learn who we are and what we believe at All Saints

Participate in a campus tour and learn about our Building Program

Receive a presentation on the ministries, programs, staff and other church leaders of All Saints
*Prerequisite for incoming new and transferring members, optional (but encouraged) for current members
Discovery 200: Discovering the Bible & Lutheran Tradition - 4 Sessions
During Discovery 200 participants will learn:

The history and origins of the Bible

Methods for effective Bible study
-
The history of the Lutheran tradition
-
In-depth details on worship, liturgy, sacraments, creeds and prayer

The model of the Lord's Prayer and Ten Commandments
Discovery 300: Discovering & Applying Your Spiritual Gifts - 3 Sessions
During Discovery 300 participants will:

Learn the scriptural basis of spiritual gifts

Discover your spiritual gifts using a Spiritual Gifts Inventory

Understand each element of stewardship
-
Learn how to use and develop your spiritual gifts

Review the All Saints Ministry Guide

Select ministries or programs to participate in
