"One on One" Sunday School
Some children learn best in a smaller consistant class enviroment...some would benefit seeing the same teacher and shepherds every week! Some children are "born leaders" and would love to share their know-how with other children.
This year All Saints will have a dedicated classroom for children who might learn better in a more typical style of learning enviroment, yet interactive and hands-on...too good to be true? No, All Saints has two very dedicated educators (Mary Wennersten and Carol Collins) who devote their gift of teaching to children of All Saints! If you would like to learn more about what this class has to offer your child please contact Rendy Horner. Your child is special, we know that and we hope this class helps them feel that way!
"One on One" is:
During the regular SS hour (9am-10am)
In room 101 (located in the Nursery building)
Follows the same stories as our rotation SS only class curriculm in adapted for the needs of the students
Children enjoy playing, learning and growing in their faith
Children have the same teachers and shepherds all year long so no need to adapt to different teaching styles every week.
>>>Please Register/Re-register<<<
This year we would like to give all families with children in Sunday School a Sunday School directory. The directory will have a picture of the entire class with names. We need all families to re-register so their children may be included in this directory. Any child without written permission will be excluded from the class picture and directory. If you'd like to help your child stay in touch with friends from All Saints please re-register and sign the box giving permission. The picture will be taken in September.
The story of Joseph:
Someone might look at Joseph's life and say..."Wow, what an unlucky guy." Hopefully after a child attends this 3 week rotation they will say..."Wow, Joseph had faith and God stayed with Joseph through his trials." Children learn about Joseph and God's plan for Joseph's life. Don't miss a week see below what your child could learn in three of of the six workshops listed below.
Memory Verse: His love for us is wonderful; his faithfulness never ends. Shout praises to the Lord. Psalms117:2 (CEV)
Cooking- Amber Floyd & Susan
Children learn that from "bad" things "good" can be had, it all depends on how you look at what is given to you and how you decide to handle what life gives you.
Location: Cafe in the LIFE building
Community Service-Carrie Templin
Bummer...life can give us unfortunate situations...People who are without homes are who we are called to help. The children help other kids less fortunate by making tie-fleece-blankets and pillows.
Location: LIFE Building
Art: Kelly Hansen
Joseph sure was special to receive such a wonderful coat from his father. It must have taken his dad a great deal of time to make such a lovely coat. Why do you suppose Joseph's brothers were so angry that Joseph was given such a beautiful gift from his father? The children will weave a "basket made of yarn." Yes, it may look simple but truly it is not as easy as it looks.
Location: Art room LIFE building
Theater: Jonathon Levine
It isn't easy livning the life Joseph lived. The children will act out the story of Joseph...and understand what it must have been like to be both Joseph and his family.
Location: Theater LIFE building
Bible Discovery: Scott Horner
Life isn't fair...it certainly wasn't for Joseph, but just because we believe in God it doesn't mean we're going to get the easy life. Understand more about the story as you "dig" into your bible.
Location: Prayer Room LIFE building
Games- Rich Horner
If only we could understand how fortunate we are when an unfortunate event happens in our life. In this workshop the kids understand that when unfortunate things happen, we must look for the fortunate.

Mission Statement for Disciples' Workshop Sunday School
Mission of Children's Sunday School at All Saints:
Our mission is to give children the faith stories of the Bible to learn, remember and compare to their own life as they grow. To know the God of today is the same God of Abraham, David, Danial, Ruth, Mary and others of the Bible. To equip children with the Living Word; to know Jesus' love for them and know that Jesus died and rose again so one day they to will live in heaven with our Heavenly Father. To build caring relationships with adults, youth and peers; and to know that they as Christians should share the stories they have learned with others and to invite others to learn the Good News of Jesus Christ.
Classes are taught in "Story Rotations" lasting between 3-6 weeks each. Teaching methods occur through: Art, Bible Discovery, Community Service, Cooking, Games and Theater. Children visit a different workshop each week learning the "same" story only using different senses to discover a different concept about the story they learn.

6th Grade Spirit begins in January each year for 6th graders. Though our Sunday School program for grades 1 through 6 is exceptional...as 6th graders finish elementary school they are ready for a transistion at church too.
6th Grade Spirit is a great way to help kids learn how to live their faith and understand what it means to be a Christian. It is a stepping stone to get ready for the 3 year confirmation program that is a head of them.
6th grade spirit is:
Hanging out and talking with friends and caring adults
Drinking soda and eating snacks first thing in the morning!
Playing Basketball, Wii, PS2, Ping Pong & other fun on campus
Learning practical ways to apply your faith to your life
Going of field trips (bowling, mini-golf, ice skating)
An all day Lock-in complete with homecooked food, team building while having fun!
6th Grade Milestone and pre-orientation for Confirmation
