Men's Breakfast & Bible Study

Element_5419a.jpg

Come join us on Wednesday mornings
at 7:00 am
for food,
fellowship and Bible Study

This small group is one of the longest standing small groups at All Saints. Founded by Pastor Bill Bartlettand shepherded by Bill Belton, this bunch of fellas share a great breakfast and bible study every Wednesday. By the grace of God and the great cooking skills of Steve Mostenan and his helpers Scott Hagen, Paul Rainey and Bill Glaze we have seen our group grow and develop into a caring and giving small group at All Saints.

Members of this small group come to a better understanding of God’s word through the study of the lessons that are used as a basis for the service on the up-coming Sunday morning. We discuss the scripture lessons for the upcoming Sunday and provide some perspectives in application to our daily lives.

With the excess funds received from our goodwill donations, we provide many financial support services and contributions to our members and community. We have purchased items for worship, provided scholarship funds for youth activities, recognized staff contributions, support a mission family in Guatemala and have provided special gifts for the needy. Our members are involved in all areas of church activities and leadership.

The group meets every Wednesday at 7:00am in Fellowship Hall. We meet every Wednesday except when Christmas or New Years Day falls on a Wednesday. Come join us for a mid-week recharging of your spiritual batteries. For more information contact Alan Johnson at 602-788-5084 or E-mail ajphoenix@cox.net.

Heavenly Hikers

The Heavenly Hikers gather in friendship and fellowship to hike in the wild and scenic areas that God has created in Arizona. Our schedule usually includes at least nine hikes during the course of a year, offering a diversity of scenery and physical challenge. Most hikes are easy to moderate in difficulty with an average length of five to eight miles.

Winter and early spring hikes are often in the desert; we prefer to travel to the cool of the mountains once the weather warms up in the Valley.

Turnout ranges from 5 to 15 people - a nice size for talking with and getting to know the other participants.

Each September, we plan the calendar through the following July. We are always looking for more group participants and invite you to join us.

Our meetings provide an opportunity to share personal health victories and obstacles.  Agenda includes an opening and closing prayer, a brief bible study/discussion of the meeting host's choice, a snack, and an informal update on how people are doing.

Every few months, a special informational  meeting is scheduled to cover a specific topic.  In the past, we have heard more about topics such as Hospice Care, Radiation, and Skin Cancer.  If you want to know more about what the atmosphere of the meetings are like without putting your foot through the door, give one of the contacts listed above a call and they will be happy to provide more information.  If you have a suggestion for a topic, let us know!

Grief Support Group - Coping with Loss

When:      Check church calendar or call for dates
Where:    Cafe

The Good Grief Support Group is:

  • A place where people come together to work on and understand the consequences and pain of a life change.
  • A safe place where you can share your story, your struggles, your concerns.
  • A forum where you have the freedom to ask the big questions.
  • A gathering where you can safely search for your own answers, with the support of others.
  • Not a therapy group….but therapeutic!
  • Loving, caring, generous, educational, healing.
  • Very often FUN!

When attempting to describe the depth of emotion we experience when someone we love dies, we struggle to put our sorrow and pain into words and into a context we can understand.  Whether you are recently bereaved or experiencing the pain of long-standing grief, Good Grief is provided to give you the encouragement needed to help you move forward with your changed lives.

MOPS recognizes that the years from infancy through kindergarten are foundational in a mother-child relationship and are filled with unique needs.

We need volunteers to help nurture the moms and care for the children during our meetings. Please contact Rendy or Carole if you currently worship at All Saints and would like more information regarding these important volunteer opportunities. Men and women are welcome to help! No age requirment...just the desire to nurture young families of today.

Men's Bible Study

Contact:  Scott Horner
When:     Every other Thursday 8:00-9:00pm
Where:    Office Workroom

This small group is currently working with the Master Builder’s Bible for Men for its group studies; however, the group is always open to other study areas that seem appropriate to our faith journeys.  We are pleased that the group has added a few new participants this year, including some younger men who are post-confirmation age.

This Men’s Bible Study meets every other Thursday evening at 8:00 p.m.  The meeting is conducted by a facilitator but is an interactive, participatory style where input is encouraged by all so we can explore and learn together.  The Thursday Night Men’s Bible Study provides a comfortable opportunity for men to bond and share their faith.  We hope you will join us!
