What is Arts Camp?

The mission of Arts Camp is to help kids & teens discover and develop their gifts in the arts.  Arts Camp offers an exciting selection of fun and unique classes in the music, performing, visual and media arts.  Class projects draw inspiration and themes from the selected musical. This year’s musical called “Simon Says – the rockin’ trial of Simon Peter” is an up beat, modern day courtroom drama set to hip music with a clever meaningful script that will appeal to kids & teens alike.  Arts Camp concludes with 3 amazing performances of this fully-staged musical and class projects on display in the Camp Art Gallery on June 23 & 24!

Who Can Participate in Arts Camp?

All kids and teens that are going into K – 10 grade in the fall of 2007.  Arts Camp is open to the community and is one of our biggest outreach programs offered each year.  Scholarships are available so please ask – our goal is to provide the Arts Camp experience to all kids who want to participate. We have carefully designed the Arts Camp classes for each major age group.  There are special classes just for K – 2 graders.  For the 3 – 10 graders there are over 45 elective classes to choose from, some are designed just for 3 – 6 or 7 – 10 graders to give kids & teens a chance to work together with their age group.
