TEAM WORLD VISION

Race day: Saturday, February 24

An estimated 844 million people around the world don’t have access to clean water. Clean water helps free children from deadly, preventable disease. It liberates women and children from long hours spent gathering dirty, contaminated water. Clean water restores health and opens the door to education, a promising future, and the kind of life God intends for His children.

We have 42 life changers participating in either the half or full marathon to provide sustainable clean water to communities in Africa with Team World Vision.

A few weeks away is race day, Saturday, February 24, and we are at 50% of our goal for providing water to 1200 people.  Your prayers and support are greatly appreciated.  If you would like to provide clean water on behalf of a specific member or the team as whole you can support us through our team page:

ELCA MISSIONARY

Pastor Kristin Engstrom

January 2018 Newsletter

Kristin serves as Country Coordinator for the new Young Adults in Global Ministry (YAGM) program in Senegal.  She is called to walk with ELCA young adults who live and serve for one year there.  She forms sustainable relationships with our partner church, the Lutheran Church of Senegal/Lutheran Development Services of Senegal, with whom the YAGMs will participate in their year of service.

“I am excited to establish the new YAGM program in Senegal, a country with an amazing sense of hospitality and a unique relationship between Christians and Muslims.  My time living in other cultures and countries when I was younger, as well as serving as a pastoral intern in an international church, shaped and stretched my faith in a God who is always bigger and more mysterious than we can comprehend.  I look forward to the ways that our amazing God will continue to inspire and challenge the young adults who come to live and serve alongside our Lutheran brothers and sisters in Senegal.”...Pastor Kristin Engstrom
