This class guides you through the process of planning for your death and funeral. We'll explore end-of-life decisions, funeral arrangements, and legacy planning, offering peace of mind for you and your loved ones. How do Lutherans interpret the Bible? Each week we will look at topics such as: What does it mean to call the Bible the Word of God? Where does the Bible come from? How do we interpret it in context? How do we read the Bible devotionally?
Pastor Dan will be leading this class. Walk-ins welcome.

Hope Rekindled: An Advent Study

The tradition of Advent exists to remind
Christians of the three comings of Christ:
As a tiny babe in a manger at Bethlehem
As the risen Savior into our hearts
As our triumphant King at the end of the age

In our study, we will read, reflect, slow down, remember, anticipate, and rejoice in all Jesus Christ has done and all He has promised to do.

Foster Care Presentation

Sunday January 11

Led by representatives from the Arizona Department of Child Safety this presentation will focus on the various ways people can make a meaningful difference in a child's life. Together, we can help ensure that every child has someone in their corner.

By Heart: Conversations with Luther’s Small Catechism

Sunday January 11 through Sunday February 15

The Small Catechism, originally written for parents to teach their children about their faith, provides an outline of what it means to be Lutheran and how Lutherans interpret their faith. This 6-week class with Bobbie Tomasek will take a deep dive into the Catechism, providing a deeper understanding of how adults can utilize this book in their faith as well. 

Philemon Study

Did you know the Book of Philemon, of all books of the Bible, played a critical role in American history? Come and see what this book has said to people of faith yesterday and today!

Making a Better Brew

Sunday February 22 through Sunday March 22

Coffee!! Come join Pastor Dan and discuss: roasting coffee beans, grinding, pour-overs, cold brew, espresso, and more. Each class begins with a 5-minute, coffee-related faith lesson. The rest of the time we learn together about how to make a better brew.

Boundaries

This course, led by Courtney Krueger, is practical and faith-informed journey into understanding and practicing healthy boundaries in everyday life. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, burnt out, or just seeking more peace and clarity in your relationships, this course will equip you with tools to live more freely and love more wisely.

Early Church History

Sunday April 12 through Sunday May 3

The God we worship is a God who is made known in and throughout history. Jesus of Nazareth entered history at a set time and place. In this class, Pastor Pat Reed will look at the multi-cultural world of Jesus and the Apostles and how the early Christian Church was both shaped by and influenced that world. We will also examine the similarities and differences between the early church’s challenges and the challenges the church faces today.

Adult Godly Play

Godly Play, our new Sunday School curriculum, is not just a way to teach children, but a way for all of us to connect deeper with our faith. Come and experience a new way of hearing the stories of our faith.
