On-line Worship Services
February 24 - March 2
A Prayer attributed to Francis of Assisi:
Lord, make us instruments of your peace. Where there is hatred, let us sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is discord, union; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is night, light; where there is sadness, joy. Grant that we may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen.
Resume Outdoor In-Person Worship February 28th
All Saints Lutheran Church will resume outdoor in-person worship services on Sunday, February 28th at 9:00am. Beginning Wednesday morning at 9:00, those who wish to attend may register on the website by CLICKING HERE TO SIGN UP or by calling the church office at (602) 866-9191.
This decision follows the recommendation of the COVID-19 Task force, as confirmed in a vote by the Congregational Council at its February 23rd meeting. Factors considered included declines in case numbers, hospitalizations and deaths in our area; increasing access to vaccine; and the spiritual wellbeing of our congregation during this holy season of Lent and after nearly a year of pandemic disruption.
As in the past, registration will be limited to 75 people. Attendees will be expected to wear a face covering (excluding infants under age 2) and to maintain 6 feet of distance from others except for those with whom they share a household and/or a ride to worship. Even as we celebrate the progress that allows us to gather safely for worship, we remain cognizant of the need to protect our loved ones, neighbors and community by doing what we can to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. Please refrain from attending worship if you are experiencing any of the symptoms of COVID-19, which can be found here: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/symptoms-testing/symptoms.html.
Recorded Sunday worship services, as well as midweek Lenten services, will continue to be made available on our Facebook page, YouTube channel, and church website.
Whichever way you choose to gather with us during the days ahead, know that we are grateful for your fellowship, prayers and support. Staff and council will be making another round of “check-in” calls to congregants in the weeks to come. We would be honored if you would let your leaders know what ministries have been helpful to you in recent months, and how we may better care for you in the future.
Grace and Peace,
